Biographical Info

Myra Rados is a Registered Psychotherapist and Professional Art Therapist.  She works at a treatment center for children and adolescents and practices at Safe Harbour Psychotherapy as well as with other group art therapy clients in Niagara and Halton Region in Ontario, Canada.  Myra completed her MARI Facilitator Training with Sherry Lynn and obtained her credentials in Canada.

Additionally, in her practice, she offers Kalffian Sandplay (obtaining her Practitioner status, SPI-Intern at CAST) and Guided Drawing (Certified: Healing Trauma, Institute of Sensorimotor Art Therapy – ISAT, Australia).  She offers a comprehensive range of psychotherapeutic and psychodynamic art therapy approaches for children, adults, and families.  She provides arts-based assessments for children and adults.

Myra is a member of CATA, OMHPA, CAST, and ACTRA Toronto.  Myra won the Gilda Grossman Award for Best Major Project in 2021 from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute (TATI), creating a new protocol for the treatment of workplace stress and anxiety – Brief Mindfulness Art Therapy, Brief-MAT (2019).  She is an Entura Artist (certified in transpersonal art as therapy approach, Delphi U, Georgia) and is an award-winning watercolour artist of 20 Valley, Ontario.  She holds an Hon. B. Sc. degree in Psychology and a Masters’ Level Certificate in Adult Education.
